Artificial Intelligence is currently such a big theme and it was great to be interviewed by Roland Global for this feature on AI in Music.
I talked to writer Kirsten Spruch about how I worked with an alter ego – AI Kat Five – on our Feral Five album ‘Truth Is The New Gold‘. We collaborated with Berlin technologists Birds on Mars who trained their AI on my voice, and our AI Kat became a magical character I used to help explore truth and trust.
Exploring and Beta testing new AI tools is also something I do regularly, and got to speak about.
Roland asked for some predictions for the future and mine included the rise of ethical AI in music, including tools created collaboratively and new values-orientated platforms.
